The Golden Stars and Pretty Poppy Pageant is a Bay Area-based natural/glitz pageant for 0-17yr old competitors. Participants from other states are welcome.

Pageant Entry Fee is $50. This includes participation in the mandatory on-stage beauty competition only. Participation in optional electives is not required.

Age Divisions

Baby Poppy: 0-3yrs
Tiny Poppy: 4-6yrs
Little Poppy: 7-9yrs

Petite Poppy: 10-13yrs
Teen Poppy: 14-17yrs
*Divisions subject to change

Optional Electives optionals give contestants a chance to win more prizes and awards!

Optional Special Electiveswinner in each age division:

Poppy Personality, Prettiest Smile, Best Hair, Prettiest Eyes, Best Dressed awards have winners in each age division & are chosen by the judges. Contestants are eligible to earn more than one Special Elective award!! Make sure to showcase your awesome personality and most polished look to rack up in these categories!!

Optional Photo Electiveswinner in each age division:
Ultimate Face: Natural or Glamour headshot of contestant
Most Photogenic: Natural or Glamour headshot of contestant

Please submit photos by e-mail to goldenstarsandprettypoppy@gmail.com OR at check-in the day of the pageant. Submit one natural or glamour photo for the photo electives. Please send the photo with the contestant name and age division as the subject line or write it on the back of the photo i.e. "Cindy Lou, Tiny Poppy".

Casual Wear:

Contestants prepare a routine lasting no more than 1 minute in their casual wear. Contestants provide their own music and props, if any. Upbeat music will be provided if you don't have your own. Please bring your music on an iPad/Smartphone with an audio jack the day of the competition and present it to the MC before your performance. Please have music queued to prevent delays.

Theme Wear:

Contestants prepare a routine lasting no more than 1 minute in their theme wear. Please check your registration packet for current theme of pageant or the upcoming pageants section. Contestants provide their own music and props, if any. Upbeat music will be provided if you don't have your own. Please bring your music on an iPad/Smartphone with an audio jack the day of the competition and present it to the MC before your performance. Please have music queued to prevent delays.

Supreme Titles winners chosen regardless of age division:

Poppy Supreme – Contestant with the highest Casual Wear points.

Star Supreme – Contestant with the highest Theme Wear points.

Golden Supreme – Contestant with the highest on-stage beauty points.

California Grand Supreme – Contestant with the most points overall.

Pageant Guidelines

Each division will have one Queen and runners-up.
No double crowning; if a contestant wins queen for their division, they are not eligible for a supreme title.
Only Queens and Supreme Title winners will receive crowns and sashes; all other winners will receive a trophy, plaque, medallion or certificate.
If a contestant receives a “Poppy Seed” during the award ceremony, this means they are eligible to win a supreme title, stick around the pageant to receive your title!
